Mount Desert Island – Jordan Pond House
Jordan Pond House Hiking on Mount Desert Island is a magical experience.  My Dad, a chef, used to do a lot of baking on the island serving hot chocolate chip cookies to hikers and tourists.  He took John and I on some serious hikes in the Acadia National Park.  These strenuous endeavors, many times, ended with a visit to the Jordan Pond House for a nice lunch by the lake. No complaints here as I do not mind hiking to a grand lunch destination.  The best way to reach the Jordan Pond House is by hiking to it instead of driving there.  John and I find it very rewarding to have one of their fantastic desserts after a long hike.

Hey would you mind sharing which blog platform you’re working with? I’m planning to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique. P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

Hello, np I am using WordPress. I do not have experience with the other blog platforms that you mentioned. However, I find WordPress easy to use and there are so many plugins available it is fun to do all of the customizations. My blog theme is from Elegant Themes. They have very creative templates and one fee for access to all of the 78 themes. You can preview them here.
